WMST GRADUATE STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Women’s Studies Graduate Student Association at the University of Maryland, College Park was founded to promote collegiality and partnership among students, faculty, and staff in its parent department. The organization seeks a voice for graduate students and advocates working in partnership with faculty to resist hierarchical, non-transparent, profit-driven management practices in higher education. We are guided by the principles of feminism and social justice within our group and advocate for the enactment of those principles in the department, the college, the University, and the system of higher education in the U.S. and abroad.
